Terms of service

What we do

SiteRescue tests a website from the outside — the way a visitor would — and reports what it finds. Paid plans add written instructions for fixing each issue, guidance for connecting a domain, unlimited re-tests, and a Launch Certificate when nothing is blocking your launch. Full Rescue adds a person who does the work with you.

What we do not do

• We do not host your site, own your domain, or hold your builder or registrar passwords. We never ask for them. Access during a Full Rescue is by collaborator invite or screen share only.
• We do not guarantee that a fix instruction will work. Your site is built by an AI tool whose output we do not control. What we guarantee is an honest answer about whether it worked, which is what the re-test is for.
• We do not check for legal compliance, accessibility conformance, security vulnerabilities, or the accuracy of your content.

Scanning a site

By submitting a URL you confirm you own that site or are authorised to test it. Our scanner identifies itself, honours robots directives, is rate limited, and never attempts to defeat bot protection or CAPTCHAs. Email us and we will stop testing a given address the same day.

One check submits a real message through a contact form, because that is the only way to know whether the form works. It is clearly marked as an automated test, at most one form per scan, and it never touches a form containing a password, card number, or similar field. Unless you have proved you own the site, we test its form at most once a week, so a link shared publicly can’t turn into repeated messages in a stranger’s inbox. If you do not want this, do not submit the site.

What the Launch Certificate means

A certificate states that on a stated date, the checks it lists passed. It is not a warranty, a security audit, or a statement about any date other than the one printed on it. Websites change. We may revoke a certificate if a later test contradicts it.

Your account and your money

• Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. Cancel any time from your account.
• Full Rescue is a one-off purchase with a defined finish — see refunds.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card details.

Ending things

You can stop using SiteRescue at any time. We may suspend an account that uses the scanner against sites it does not control, or in a way that burdens someone else’s site.

Liability

We provide the service as-is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
